Today I’m going to share with you one of my personal favorite recipes, an Immune Boosting Ginger Lime Refresher. This recipe combines a few categories of our immune-boosting essential ingredients. You may even have some of these lying around at home!

You can make this recipe as a warm beverage or a with sparkling water as a spritzer depending on your climate or season. A personal favorite of mine is to put the mixture into ice pop molds and keep in the freezer for a healthy tasty treat on a hot day. I had the pleasure of making this Immune Boosting Ginger Lime Refresher last week with my friends at ABC7 SWFL. Check out the video below for a step by step guide on how to make this.

Ingredients and their purpose

Ginger helps fight flu and common colds. You may recall drinking ginger ale as a child when you had an upset stomach– it aids digestion and reduces nausea! Ginger is also an excellent source of potassium and serves as an anti-inflammatory.

Lime Juice as citrus is naturally high in vitamin C and potassium. Lime and citrus juices can also serve as an antibiotic, helping prevent illness naturally.

Apple Cider Vinegar balances your acid alkaline balance which is one of the key ingredients for a healthy immune system. If you’re a fan of ACV like I am, check out more recipes in my Apple Cider Vinegar Handbook.

Fresh Mint aids with indigestion and supports healthy cholesterol levels. This is also an excellent source of potassium.

Recipe:

½ Cup Ginger Juice (use ginger teabags if needed)

¾ Cup Lime Juice (replace with grapefruit or orange juice depending on preference) — ¾ cup

1-2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar

⅓ Cup Fresh Mint Leaves

⅛ Teaspoon (2 Pinches) Stevia (optional) for sweetness

4 Cups Sparkling Water or Warm Water depending on preference

Mix ingredients together in a pitcher or pour into ice pop molds and place in the freezer for 45 minutes. Serve and Enjoy!

When we make something like this we not only boost our immune system but we can do it in a tasty way. Stay healthy and boost your immune system the holistic way.
